D: Twas a 2.5 GPA Kind of Month

This past month brought its fair share of happenings--some good and some not so peachy.  In honor of the finals week I don't have to take part in anymore, here's how I would grade the recent events of my life:

Started BodyPump classes:  A
    - I'M SO EXCITED!  I couldn't get enough of this class over the summer, but then moved and screwed everything up.  BUT, I found a place that offers the class twice a week for an extremely reasonable price within a decent distance.  Watch out -- I'm about to get jacked.  A for sure.

Directed the Hillcrest Chrsitmas play:  A
    - Definitely a highlight of my year.  i had so much fun with the kids, and loved seeing how much the congregation adored watching them perform.  Can't wait to do it all again next year.  Solid A.

Ran a 5K:  B
    - Getting a time of 32:08 on my first go would get an easy A.  Not being about to walk like a normal person for a week gets a C.  So let's just take the average.

Visited Colorado:  B
    - We visited my maternal grandparents over Thanksgiving.  It was a nice relaxing weekend filled with family, games, Skyfall, and general laziness.  However, some weird 2-week-long dizzy spell started while I was there, which really freaked me out.  Thus the grade dropped to a B.

Got sick:  D
    - This shouldn't really be considered a main event.  But since I'm battling it now and in a constant state of sniffling/coughing/sneezing/pouting, I'll put it on here if I want to.  The only reason it doesn't get an F is because it gives me an excuse to sit around and do nothing.  Other than that, it sucks.

Lost a friend:  F
    - Almost twelve years ago exactly, Sami and I got two kittens for Christmas, Taffy and Midnight.  Three years ago, Taffy got cancer and we sadly had to put him down.  Then today, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to his brother due to a failing liver.  :(  Midnight was my cuddle-buddy whenever I went home, and I'll miss him tremendously.  Obviously a big fat F.  Hashtag losingpetssucks.

Now, if you will excuse me, I took some NyQuil about 30 minutes ago.  I'm done for.

Peace!

Closing thought of D:  If the apocalypse does happen ten days from now, would you rather be [a zombie / alive and hiding from zombies / dead] the next day?

  1. As a rule, I'm thoroughly intimidated by people
  2. Basketball >> football
  3. Want to retain employees? Offer a 9/80 schedule
  4. America's unfortunate complaint culture
  5. People vs. Society
  6. The death of vocabulary
  7. Doing nothing during free time vs. Doing nothing during work
  8. Who likes self-righteous people other than themselves?
  9. One Direction? Pshhhhhhhhh. Ain't got nuthin' on 90's boy bands
  10. Things that stress me out: passive-aggressive tendencies
  11. The Self-Conscious Mind of Danielle
  12. God I love being graduated

Comments

  1. Alive and hiding from the zombies.
I've been planning this for years.

  2. Alive and hiding from zombies/searching for all my friends with guns so I could team up with them, chop some fools up and find/eat all the remaining Twinkies.
